Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm: REVIEW

The brand:

British, well known for this cleanser. Cruelty free (obvs)

The product:

Balm cleanser

Who can use it:

If you’re really acneic then maybe give it a miss, but my spot prone skin loves it mostly. Other than that, anyone can use.

Cruelty Free Status/ Vegan?:

Fully CF, PETA approved. Not vegan (this balm contains beeswax).

Ingredients:

VITIS VINIFERA (GRAPE) SEED OIL, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) OIL, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, PEG-8 BEESWAX, PEG-6 CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC GLYCERIDES, PEG-60 ALMOND GLYCERIDES, SORBITAN STEARATE, PALMITIC/STEARIC TRIGLYCERIDES, LIMONENE, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) PEEL OIL, SILICA, CITRUS AURANTIUM BERGAMIA (BERGAMOT) FRUIT OIL, GLYCERIN, PHENOXYETHANOL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, CITRUS AURANTIUM AMARA (BITTER ORANGE) FLOWER OIL, JUNIPERUS VIRGINIANA OIL, AQUA (WATER), LECITHIN, LINALOOL, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, OCTYLDODECYL PCA, MENTHYL PCA, TOCOPHEROL, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, CRITHMUM MARITIMUM EXTRACT, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, JASMINUM OFFICINALE (JASMINE) FLOWER OIL, GERANIOL, MORINGA PTERYGOSPERMA SEED EXTRACT, FARNESOL, ROSA DAMASCENA FLOWER OIL, DISODIUM PHOSPHATE, CITRAL, CITRIC ACID, CITRONELLOL.

Not in the ingredients:

mineral oil (yay!)

Problematic ingredients?:

This is a fragrant balm, which I like.

Packaging:

The old pots were awful ! But recently the packaging has been redone and it’s fine now. I don’t get any leaking. It’s a screw top lid.

How to use:

It does remove makeup, but I use as a skin cleanser (i.e in the morning or in the evening after removing makeup/SPF). Take a pea sized amount and massage into dry skin, then remove with warm flanner. Lush.

How much:

£47 for 100ml. It’s lasted me about 5 months!

The Good:

The most luxurious cleanser I own. It smells divine, it feels incred on the face. It takes off makeup, cleanses in the most gentle and hydrating way. It’s a proper cult favourite that everyone loves for good reason.

Every time I use it I feel like I’m treating myself. It’s the reason I look forward to cleansing my skin in the evening. It’s one of those products. Need I say more ??

The Bad:

When my skin is particularly spotty and oily I avoid, as it’s too heavy for that.

Recommend?:

Everyone needs to cleanse, and frankly I think everyone needs to treat themselves.. so yer

Avaliable:

bloody everywhere now! Cult Beauty, Space NK, M&S
